Job Title: WelderJob Description

As a Welder I or II, you will perform tasks using Arc welding and electrode rods for tack and bead welds. You will also utilize oxygen/acetylene torches for cutting metals, operate hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metals together, and remove slag. The role requires selecting proper electrodes and holders while regulating current and time. A welding certification is preferred, with more than five years of experience in welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Use modification and welding skills (minimum AWS 3G/4G level) to rework cab and other components.
• Perform welding (AWS 3G/4G) according to blueprints.
• Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete welding in assigned areas.
• Fabricate components from raw stock and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, and blueprints.
• Understand and articulate the production flow of an assigned product line or area.
• Self-check work and inspect prior processes.
• Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required.
• Meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Initiate process improvements.
• Support 5S in the work area.
• Lead or perform lean events.
• Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Solve complex problems with minimal assistance.

Essential Skills

• 5 plus years of related experience in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to pass required welding certification tests in AWS material sections: D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, and D9.1.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong attendance.
• Ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.
• Proficiency in either MIG or TIG welding for steel, stainless, and aluminum.
• Understanding of AWS welding symbols.
• Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and rotate within various weld areas.
• Capacity to wear PPE respirators for extended periods.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints including weld specifications.
• Availability to work overtime on short notice.
• Possession of a positive attitude and strong team orientation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.

401k: 100% match of first 3%, and 50% match for the next 2%
- 4 Tiers: Employee only, Employee and Spouse, Employee and Children, Family. 3 plan options: PPO, HDHP Gold, HDHP Silver

- Basic life insurance coverage of $30,000
- PTO: 60 hours in first 2 years, then 100 hours year 2-5, 140 hours year 5-10, 180 hours at 10 years and after
