Pay: $23.95/hour

Schedule: Full Time 3rd Shift

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Armed Security Officer Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Firearm Certification
  • High level customer service
  • PSR/IPAT evaluation required
  • 2 Years Military, law enforcement or security experience

Typical Job Duties:

  • Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
  • Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force may be required.
  • Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.
  • Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. 
  • Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities. 
  • Monitors surveillance cameras. The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers
