Epidemiologist

Cambridge, MA- ONSITE
12 month W2 contract (with potential to extend or transition to perm)
Pay rate: $48-52/hr - Depending on Education and Experience
Responsibilities: Improve disease understanding relevant to drug development
Support clinical trial design
Contribute to medication safety evaluation
Support post-marketing surveillance activities
Critically appraise existing epidemiology evidence and create new evidence through delivery of specific research plans/protocols and analysis of healthcare databases available.
Skills or Requirements: 5 years or more in Epidemiology in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience in an academic or government setting.
Significant experience applying epidemiologic methods to study a variety of questions in support of medicine development (safety, effectiveness, natural history of disease)
Demonstrable experience leading pharmaco-epidemiologic research programs in a drug development environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate scientific evidence to peers and at scientific meetings.
Education: PhD required in epidemiology (preferred) or a relevant discipline (i.e., health services research, health outcomes research, public health, statistics or pharmaceutical sciences)
