Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our HVAC contracting business, ensuring smooth project execution, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving team performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a dedication to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of HVAC projects, from initial planning and scheduling to execution and completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  2. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to field technicians, project managers, and support staff. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth.
  3. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and client expectations. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  4. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols.
  5. Client Communication: Serve as an additional point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular updates on project progress. Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
  6. Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating costs, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  7. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and capabilities. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  8. Performance Management: Establish performance metrics and goals for the team. Monitor performance against objectives, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize team productivity and efficiency.
  9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC operations management or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
