For the Sartorius Lab Instruments GmbH & Co. KG, we are currently looking for a Head of Product Development (x|f|m) at our headquarters in Göttingen. In this position, you will be responsible for establishing an efficient, future-oriented infrastructure to drive all product development activities aligned with the division's business strategy. The Head of Product Development will oversee all areas in the division—instrumentation, reagents, consumables, and software. Grow with us - Your Responsibilities Define the global product development roadmap in collaboration with Product Management to address current customer pain points and anticipate future needs. Develop technical capabilities and a technology roadmap to meet the division's strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps. Work closely with product marketing and operations teams to deliver new and improved profitable products on time and within budget. Ensure a robust stage-gate process for all innovations to meet milestones efficiently. Discover and implement new technologies that provide a competitive edge. Develop communication strategies to promote new technologies and product developments to stakeholders. Hire and develop talent within a global, distributed environment. Continuously review market and scientific innovations relevant to technical development. Incorporate market innovations into new product development. Collaborate with Corporate Research and the Bio-Process Division on technological advancements. Participate in inorganic growth strategies and their execution. Represent the division's technical perspective in leadership discussions regarding products and applications. Act as an industry and customer advocate, addressing regulators, opinion leaders, and key clients. What will convince us Master's degree in engineering or natural sciences; a PhD is advantageous. Leading-edge technical expertise in Life Sciences. Strong leadership skills for managing multiple teams and departments. Excellent communication and presentation skills to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences. Ability to foster talent, innovation, and strategic development environments. Proven experience in establishing and structuring global R&D teams according to strategic roadmaps. Capability to oversee complex development programs, using KPIs and cockpit logic for control. Effective interfacing across all organizational levels, from staff to C-level. Expertise in technological analysis and research. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
