Location: Ridgeland, South Carolina Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | On-Site STS Technical Services is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Position Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for tracking and managing inventory levels, performing cycle counts and audits, and ensuring the accuracy of all inventory data. This role plays a key part in preventing stock discrepancies, reducing waste, and maintaining operational flow. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys solving problems related to logistics and inventory systems. Key Responsibilities: Track and maintain accurate inventory levels across all systems Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits Reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical counts Input inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, and adjustments Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality Assist with inventory planning to avoid overstock or stockouts Monitor inventory turnover and help manage reorder points Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to resolve inventory issues Assist with inventory control process improvements and best practices Prepare inventory reports and assist during internal audits Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Required Skills & Abilities: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills Basic understanding of inventory systems and warehouse processes Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Willingness to work in a warehouse setting and perform physical tasks Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in a physically active environment Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred 3–5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations preferred Experience with inventory management systems is a plus Working Conditions: Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments PPE must be worn at all times on production floors Standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching may be required for extended periods Compensation & Benefits: Direct Hire Full-Time | On-Site in Ridgeland, SC Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Vacation and Holidays Long-Term Growth and Advancement Potential About STS Technical Services: STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with some of the largest names in the aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial industries.
