Robert Half is seeking an experienced  IT Manager for a contract-to-permanent role that offers the opportunity to take on a leadership position within a dynamic team. This role focuses on overseeing IT operations and personnel while ensuring the efficient functioning of key infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in IT systems, project management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Level II server personnel to optimize day-to-day IT operations and task prioritization.
• Coordinate the resolution of technical issues and oversee the installation or upgrading of IT systems and processes.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.
• Perform backup management duties and provide round-the-clock on-call support when necessary.
• Train and develop support staff while upholding corporate policies and procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and maintain service quality for IT needs.
• Support audit activities and collaborate on disaster recovery planning and testing efforts.
• Lead highly complex projects with significant risk and participate in cross-functional project teams.
• Ensure optimal usage of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Maintain enterprise-grade storage systems, such as Dell EMC and Pure Storage, focusing on performance and capacity planning.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (an associate or bachelor’s degree in information systems or related fields is preferred).
• A minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Comprehensive knowledge of VMware technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Experience working with virtual machine backup and replication tools like Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Hands-on expertise in enterprise storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC and Pure Storage).
• Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2016 and newer), Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including offsite replication and high availability strategies.
• Bonus: Skills in scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
