• Master's Degree
• State Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Behavior Practitioner (LBP)
• At least 2 years of directly related experience preferred

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Participate in comprehensive staffing. Coordinate the information flow from the department to other appropriate service providers.
• Be familiar with Medicaid billing practices and complete appropriate Medicaid billing for qualified students (progress notes, etc.).
• Make recommendations for intervention and act as an IEP team member.
• Attend categorical eligibility which involves presentation of evaluation results.
• Consult and instruct school personnel and parents in the therapeutic management of students.
• Maintain confidential records. Provide documentation of progress and prepare evaluations. Provide formal/informal in-service to administrators, parents, and teachers.
• Travel to the various sites to provide services.
• Attend necessary workshops and continuing education to maintain certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Special Services.
