The incumbent will assist the Director in developing, billing, negotiating, managing, and controlling the Paratransit Division's transportation contracts. Responsibilities include ensuring contractors meet service goals, adhere to policies, and resolve service issues. The role involves monitoring contractor operations, including personnel hiring, dispatcher and operator training, vehicle inspections, registration, complaints, maintenance, and compliance with FTA Drug and Alcohol testing requirements. The manager will ensure vehicle and operator availability, manage accounts payable, assist with procurement, and liaise with management. They will analyze and report on contract statuses and manage specific fuel and service contracts, ensuring timely vendor payments and resolving vendor issues. The role includes assisting with audits and may require driving official vehicles for vendor site visits, necessitating a valid NY State driver’s license. Compensation $81,780 - $116,074 (Grade F 516 pts) Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or related field, plus eight (8) years of full-time experience, including at least three (3) years in a managerial or supervisory role. Equivalent education and experience may be considered. Desired Skills Knowledge of contract management, public procurement, and vendor relations. Skills in negotiations, project management, auditing, billing, and managerial techniques. Familiarity with Information Systems and experience with IT projects is a plus.
