Project Estimator – Earthwork & Grading

📍 Location: Chino Hills, CA

Earth Tek Engineering Corp., a leader in grading and demo across Southern California, is seeking a Project Estimator to join our team. 📝 Role Overview

As a Project Estimator, you will lead Earth Tek’s estimating efforts, analyzing plans, soils reports, and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive bids. This role is both technical and client-facing, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior estimators.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

· Review and analyze project plans, reports, and specifications.

· Prepare takeoffs and cost estimates using software (Trimble Business Center, Agtek, Carlson, Civil Image, etc.).

· Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness.

· Maintain and update bid logs, cost records, and takeoff data.

· Train and mentor junior estimators and takeoff technicians.

· Support negotiations and contract preparation as needed.

· Represent Earth Tek with professionalism and integrity in all client interactions.

🎯 Qualifications

· 8+ years of estimating experience in grading/earthwork or heavy civil construction.

· Proficiency in takeoff software (Trimble Business Center, Agtek, Carlson, Civil Image, or similar).

· Strong skills in Excel, Word, and general computer applications.

· Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines independently.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
