Commercial Construction Project Manager (Division 9)

Based in Cypress, TX, and serving South, Central, and West Texas, we are a highly respected Division 9, HUB-certified contractor offering interior and exterior architectural design work and finishes. Our specialties include flooring, drywall, acoustical ceilings, millwork, carpentry, and demolition.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced commercial construction project manager with expertise in Division 9 to join our dynamic team. This role combines in-field oversight with office-based responsibilities. The ideal candidate will effectively oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and completion, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead all phases of commercial construction projects within Division 9, including flooring, ceilings, painting, wallcoverings, drywall, carpentry, millwork, and interior finishes.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, manage budgets, and control costs.
• Coordinate and oversee material and labor costs and field teams to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.
• Monitor project progress through regular site visits and proactively address any issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders and provide comprehensive reporting on project status.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, and other key partners.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager in commercial construction, with specific experience in Division 9.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices relevant to Division 9.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in construction project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
