Job Description

Immediately hiring a Purchasing Assistant for a large company in Converse. Pay is $19/hr. based on experience. Shift is M-F 8 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:

• The Purchasing Assistant must be able to manage time-sensitive deadlines and understand the processing and tracking of purchase orders.
• Track the status of Purchase Order (PO) confirmations
• Track Open and Past Due Purchase Orders
• Check shipments have been received and recorded accurately
• Monitor in-house inventory movement
• Contact suppliers to coordinate returns for goods delivered
• Process reports as requested, i.e., Purchase History Reports
• Support Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Agent with daily priorities
• Attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
