This position serves as a liaison between UPS and government entities, resolving issues related to customs declarations, shipping restrictions, CBP holds and other PGA processes. This job requires the individual to work closely with the import department. Responsibilities include working closely with US Customs on nightly brokerage processes such as completing abandonments nightly, processing EAN's for USDA, working shipments in the system for release, presenting inspects to US Customs at the sort, and putting shipments on hold for US Customs. The role is in a fast-paced, busy office environment at the HUB with four team members. Qualifications preferred include strong knowledge of US Customs and Border Protection Regulations, a Bachelor's Degree or internationally comparable degree, experience in International Trade, Logistics or Freight Forwarding, and previous experience with classification and/or FTA determination. The position is permanent and requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
