Overview:
A well-established title agency with a strong presence in the New York and New Jersey real estate markets is seeking a highly experienced Senior Title Officer to join its team. This position requires end-to-end responsibility for title files , including reading, examination, clearance, and preparation for closing. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, meticulous, and efficient, with a demonstrated ability to manage high-liability transactions across both residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently review, analyze, and clear complex title files for NY and NJ transactions (residential and commercial)

• Manage all aspects of the title process from initial examination to closing

• Identify and resolve title issues, collaborating with underwriters and attorneys as needed

• Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders

• Provide informal guidance or mentorship to a small team of processors and officers (4–5 staff)

• Ensure files are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable regulations and deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of title experience in New York and New Jersey

• Expertise in handling high-liability and complex transactions

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files under tight timelines

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and client service orientation
