Temp Space Planning Assistant

Location : El Segundo, CA

Pay : $33-38/hr (DOE)

Duration : approx. 1 year

Our client, a notable name in the entertainment and toy production industry, is looking for a detail-orientated and self-starting Space Planning Assistant to join their Facilities team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with space planning for the campus, including workspace layouts and occupancy tracking
• Support the development of furniture installation drawings and workspace reconfiguration plans
• Create and manage Facilities work orders for departmental requests and project execution
• Assist with employee and department relocations, ensuring seamless moves and minimal disruption
• Apply best practices in workplace design and planning to maintain safe and effective spaces
• Manage small‑scale furniture installations and office refresh projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution
• Research and place orders for furniture, equipment, and related workplace items
• Collaborate with internal departments (such as IT and Security) and external vendors to support daily operations and project outcomes

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Facilities, Workplace Services, or a related field
• Strong problem‑solving, multi‑tasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required
• Experience with CAFM (Computer‑Aided Facilities Management) systems highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, or a related discipline required
