Job Description

Company Description

Delta Construction, a family-owned leader in commercial construction since 1987, delivers exceptional projects across Arizona and the Southwest. We’re seeking passionate, dedicated professionals to join our tight-knit team, where your contributions matter, and you’re valued as an individual, not just a number. At Delta, we work hard, take pride in our craft, and foster a collaborative environment that drives success. If you’re ready to make an impact and grow with a company that values excellence, we want to hear from you.

Role Description

Join Delta Construction as a full-time, on-site Superintendent, where you’ll lead the charge on commercial construction projects. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee all aspects of construction, from coordinating daily activities to ensuring safety, quality, and progress. You’ll manage subcontractors, maintain project documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver exceptional results. If you’re tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor progress, proactively resolve bottlenecks, and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, city regulations, and quality standards.
  • Manage project documentation, including photos, daily logs, and reports, using Procore.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and motivate construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Assign tasks, provide clear direction, and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, positive work environment that drives team success.

Quality and Cost Control

  • Inspect workmanship, materials, and installations to maintain high standards.
  • Address deficiencies promptly and optimize resource use to minimize waste.
  • Monitor project costs, flag potential overruns, and collaborate with the project manager on financial decisions.

Communication

  • Engage professionally with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular project updates and address stakeholder concerns promptly.
  • Foster open, effective communication across the team.

Site Coordination

  • Oversee deliveries, equipment, and material logistics to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage site access and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.

Qualifications

Education and Communication

  • No degree required; must demonstrate clear, effective written and verbal communication.

Technology Proficiency

  • Strong proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office & Project, and Outlook.
  • Comfort with technology and eagerness to leverage digital tools for efficiency.

Experience

  • 2+ years of superintendent experience or 4+ years in construction preferred, but we welcome motivated candidates at all levels ready to grow with us.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction methods, materials, and tools.

Skills and Certifications

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes (or willingness to obtain OSHA 30 certification).
  • Proficiency in project management software, particularly Procore and Microsoft Project.

Traits

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Thrives under pressure, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborative, team-focused mindset with a passion for excellence.
  • Eager to learn and grow within a supportive, family-owned company.
