Emagine IT Immediate Opening: Associate Consultant (FedRAMP Support)

Emagine IT is seeking an Associate Consultant to join our FedRAMP Team in North Bethesda, MD, with remote work options. Candidates must be able to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities include:

1. Support system security assessments within cloud environments per FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, 800-37, OMB, and other IT security standards.
2. Prepare, review, update, and maintain IT security artifacts; provide guidance to System Owners.
3. Identify security issues, research, and develop solutions.
4. Conduct assessments, interviews, and testing in accordance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
5. Ensure cybersecurity policies are followed and controls are implemented.
6. Validate security documentation for FedRAMP and NIST compliance.
7. Recommend improvements to security postures based on findings.
8. Review and analyze Security Authorization Packages for compliance.
9. Participate in client interviews for security assessments.
10. Maintain up-to-date Security Authorization Packages throughout system lifecycle.
11. Build and maintain client relationships.
12. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver results.
13. Establish standards to minimize risks.
14. Support client sessions to align expectations and timelines.
15. Manage projects from initiation to closure.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 0-2 years experience in auditing or consulting.
2. Experience with FedRAMP and NIST standards (preferred: FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, NIST SP 800-171/CMMC, DoD SRG, RMF).
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Strong work ethic and attention to quality.
5. Ability to obtain (or already possess) relevant cybersecurity certifications within 3 months of hire, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GCIH, CISSP, CSSLP, CISA, or others listed.

Nice to Have:

Baltimore Cyber Range, AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, Azure Security Engineer, Google Cloud Engineer.
