PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – OCOTILLO WELLS DISTRICT / OCOTILLO WELLS STATE VEHICLE RECREATION AREA
The reporting location for this position is 5172 Hwy 78 Borrego Springs, CA. 92004. This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.
The incumbent will lead seasonal staff. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for all facility maintenance and housekeeping tasks and will also assist with facility maintenance throughout the SVRA. We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, dependable, and dedicated individual to become a member of our crew.The incumbent's work schedule will be Saturday through Wednesday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year. This position is designated as not telework eligible. Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) , this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR . State housing may be required. Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping and lifting.
Perform indoor and outdoor work often in inclement weather and/or extreme heat.
May have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
Outdoor work is common.
May work in remote locations
May work around, handle, and apply herbicide
